Laurence Housman (July 18, 1865 – February 20, 1959)
was an English playwright.
The younger brother of the poet A. E. Housman,
Laurence Housman was born in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

بانوی جدید

اوه  چقدر ازدیدنت ناخوش هستم

ایا اجازه میدی که خودم باشم   تو شابد برای چیزی مهم باَشی

اوه برو همون جایی که تو رو بخوان چون اینجا خواستاری نداری
و این تمام چیزی بود که موقع جدایی یه عزیزم گفتم

من به جایی میرم . به طرف دختری جذاب و برهنه

که لباس هایم رو بدون هیچ چشمداشتی در بیاره

اون از دیدن ناراحت نمیشه . اگه همه چیز رو مرتب نگه دارم

و من مثل یک سرباز ملکه به طرفش میرم

به طرف یک گروهبان نظامی و بیخیال

اون ممکنه با دیدن من خوشحال نشه اما با من بخوبی رفتار میکنه

 به من شراب و صبحانه میده و یک روبان برای موهام

و من هیچ دختری رو ندیدم که وقتش رو روی یک جوانک هدر بده

 من به جایی میرم , جایی که اتاقی برای یک یا دو نفر باشه

و مردان کمی وجود دارند که از پس کار بر بیان

جایی که خطوط سرباز ها به هم نزدیک میَشن و خط بزرگ جسد ها پدیدار میشه
    و دشمن های انگلیس من رو خواهند دید و  ناخوش خواهند شد
